new build home

site of natural importance

Set on the quiet shores of Loch Goil, within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, the new home is shaped by landscape, light, and long views across water and sky. The design carefully negotiates planning policy and landscape sensitivity, resulting in a restrained, low-impact form that sits quietly within its setting. Open, flowing living spaces are oriented to maximise outlook and daylight, allowing daily life to unfold in constant dialogue with the loch and surrounding hills. Crafted details and tactile materials - timber, stone, and textured finishes - root the building in place, lending warmth and material depth. Large openings dissolve the boundary between inside and out, while sheltered moments provide retreat, creating a contemporary, restful rural escape embedded in its landscape
